Keyboard driven minimalist app

Terminal Emulator and App Launcher

I also consider switching to kitty.
I like the fact that kitty ask for confirmation when closing a terminal.
It is also easier to enable image support on third parties cli-tools.
But I find alacritty more minimalist.

I used a special config for rofi and I replicated it for nwggrid.
nwggrid has been buggy
jgmenu is very oldschool and X11 dependant but the categories features + dmenu mode is a killer one.

I haven't tried Appimage-Launcher yet but I don't like gearlever forcing me to move all my appimages on the same folder in order to run them.

Basic multimedia viewers

Those are very neat. I higly recommends.

I use two different image viewer to support all the different formats.
The default is vimiv, the fallback is nsxiv but it could be replaced by sxiv
Zathura is bundled in several packages : pdf, comic-book and post-script format.
